SMS Messaging Terms & Opt-In
Last updated June 25, 2026
Schedule's Up is a staff-scheduling tool operated by Forged Cortex LLC. This page documents our text messaging program in full: what we send, how recipients consent to receive messages, and how to opt out. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
Who sends messages, and what they contain
Messages are sent by Schedule's Up, operated by Forged Cortex LLC, on behalf of participating employers to their own staff. They identify the sender as Schedule's Up by Forged Cortex LLC. They are transactional and operational only — there are no marketing or promotional messages. There are two recurring message types:
- A personal link asking an employee to submit their availability for an upcoming period.
- A link to view the finalized work schedule once it is posted.
How staff opt in (consent)
Consent is collected offline by each participating business from its own employees, during staff onboarding — in person or via the employer’s onboarding form. A public example of the consent collection form is available at https://schedulesup.com/messaging/employee-sms-consent. The opt-in workflow is:
- An employee voluntarily provides their mobile number to their employer.
- At the point of collection, the employer presents the disclosure below with an unchecked SMS consent checkbox or equivalent signature line.
- The employee actively agrees to receive scheduling texts before any SMS is sent.
- The employer enters the consenting employee’s number into Schedule's Up.
- The first message each recipient receives is a one-time confirmation (shown below) that restates the program, message frequency, and STOP/HELP instructions before any scheduling links are sent.
Numbers are never purchased, rented, or otherwise acquired from third parties, and messages are sent only to a business’s own staff. SMS consent is optional; opting out of texts does not remove anyone from their work schedule.
